Lassane Amado – Sao Tome and Principe
My name is Lassane Amado, I’m 18 years old and I am one of the Finalist for MissTeenAfricaUK2015.
I’m proudly representing my beautiful country of birth, Sao Tome and Principe. My biggest passions are science and literature. I’m fascinated and eager to find, to see and feel new things. I’m just a ordinary girl but I have a vision, strong concepts and beliefs, bringing the extra to my ordinary. I want to be crowned Miss Teen Africa because I believe in my counterparts, I believe in my country, I believe in Africa and most important I believe in myself. This pageant offers a platform for us young women to embrace ourselves, to raise our voices, share our opinions and be heard. I want to empower young women and youth, to help break the stigma and stereotype that still floats nowadays. As a young black women who wants to follow medical science I aim to bring more girls into STEM and improve health and education in Africa. I also support the gender equality, and I believe by improving women’s and girls’ education, increasing literacy and promoting women’s right and access to any department, we can achieve that.
